Flagpoles
Aluminium flagpoles, anodised, from 5 to 12 metres, in four versions and optionally with a swivel arm.
The Standard pole is the plain, low-maintenance basic form with a plastic end cap, external halyard and cleat, from CHF 197.55. The Deluxe pole adds a deluxe hoisting device, rope connector, flag holder and a cast aluminium cap, from CHF 253.60. The Door pole runs an internal halyard inside the shaft, closed off by a lock — secure against theft and visually clean, from CHF 372.50. The Door pole Deluxe adds an aluminium swivel head with pulley, a rope swivel and a flush-mounted aluminium pole lock, from CHF 467.35.
Poles without a swivel arm stand outside family homes and allotment gardens, at municipalities, stadiums, airfields and border crossings — wherever a national or cantonal flag is flown. Poles with a swivel arm (outrigger poles) are advertising carriers: a swivel head holds the arm, the flag hangs crosswise and stays fully legible even in still air. You can see from a distance where the company you are looking for is — which is why outrigger poles are found almost exclusively on business premises.
Where several shaft diameters are available, the location decides: in exposed positions and with very large flags, take the larger diameter. Two-piece poles are also easier to transport and erect.
All poles are supplied without ground fixing. With a ground sleeve they are set in concrete only 60 cm deep. Matching ground sleeves, centring rings and hinged tilting bases are shown below each pole and under flagpole mounts. Delivery time ex works 7 to 14 working days, dispatch by truck.
Detailed notes on foundations, installation and maintenance can be found in the Flagpole Wiki.

Frequently asked questions about flagpoles
Which flagpole height suits which location?
For a family home or garden, 5–6 m is usually enough; companies and municipalities choose 7–10 m, and large sites such as stadiums, airfields or border crossings 10–12 m. All anodised aluminium flagpoles are available from 5 to 12 m. Rule of thumb for the flag size: 6 m flagpole → 120 × 120 cm, 7–8 m → 150 × 150 cm, 10 m → 200 × 200 cm, 12 m → 250 × 250 cm.
What is the difference between Standard, Deluxe and access-door flagpoles?
Standard: external halyard with cleat and plastic cap – the most economical version from CHF 197.55. Deluxe: Deluxe hoisting device with cast aluminium cap or aluminium ball finial – the typical family-home flagpole. Access door: internal halyard with a lockable flagpole access door – no rope slapping, almost silent and protected against tampering. The Deluxe access-door version adds an aluminium swivel head with pulley, a rope swivel and a recessed aluminium lock.
When do I need a flagpole with a swivel arm?
The swivel arm keeps the flag spread out even without wind. Swivel-arm flagpoles are therefore the choice for corporate and advertising flags whose logo must always be visible. Arm lengths 80, 100, 120 and 150 cm; from 9 m height the aluminium swivel head is standard. For private homes a flagpole without swivel arm is usually sufficient.
How is a flagpole mounted?
Flagpoles are delivered without ground mounting; the mounting is chosen by the lower tube diameter (Ø 60, 80, 100 or 101 mm): ground sleeve set in concrete (only 60 cm deep), ground tube, hinged base plate for lowering the flagpole, flagpole wall bracket or hinged wall plate, and a special hinged plate for flat roofs. All mountings are available from stock in Neudorf LU.
How long is delivery and what does shipping cost?
Flagpoles are made to order: delivery ex works in 7–14 working days. Shipping is by truck: 1–2 flagpoles CHF 96, 3–6 flagpoles CHF 128, 7–10 flagpoles CHF 166, 11 or more on request; free shipping from CHF 1,500 order value. Accessories ship as parcels from CHF 15.
