Who this flag is made for
This is the competition flag. Pure Swiss silk, the coat of arms cut and sewn on by hand. Silk runs quieter and more evenly than any artificial fibre, and with good care such a flag lasts a lifetime. It is the flag you buy once.
Material and finishing
Pure Swiss silk. The coat of arms is applied by hand in our own workshop in Neudorf LU:
- conical hollow hem, matched exactly to the swinging pole
- reinforced at top and bottom
- lower corners additionally reinforced on the right and left
- two tabs for attachment

Silk or acetate: which should I choose?
Pure Swiss silk is the reference for competition and for the flag that is meant to last a lifetime. Acetate artificial silk is robust and easy to care for, and the right choice for training, for juniors and for clubs that need several flags. Many flag swingers own both.
Is this flag approved for competition?
Yes. The Technical Regulations for Flag Swinging of the Swiss Federal Yodelling Association permit Swiss and cantonal flags with official heraldry in pure silk or in artificial silk. The prescribed size is 120 cm square; we produce in the established trade size of 121 x 121 cm. The current version of the regulations always applies.
Matching pole and case
The regulations make no stipulation about the pole. A length of around 150 cm is considered ideal, exactly the size of our standard pole.

Care and repair
Silk does not like moisture: in the rain, flags are not swung outdoors. Let the flag dry after use and always store it in its case, never folded under pressure for long periods. We repair damaged hems, corners and tabs in our own workshop: send us the flag or bring it to Neudorf.
